Aceh FNers Celebrated Birthday at Traditional Market

Aceh Fotografer Net Community (www.acehfotografer.net) celebrated their first anniversary by holding Kutaraja Street Hunting on June 14. It took place at traditional market at REX area, traditional market in Peunayong, Banda Aceh, and its surrounding. The traditional markets were chosen because they wished to show the life of the society as it seen through the activity at the traditional market. They admitted that the location was the perfect one to capture human interest objects.

Unlike another street hunting, the event was attended by four models. Still, the participants were more attracted to the activity at the traditional market than the models. The event was "interrupted" when the halo phenomenon (an optical phenomenon that appears near or around the sun or moon, and sometimes near other strong light sources such as street lights) occurred in the middle of the photo session. Surely, both participants and the people amused by it.

Not just amused by the phenomenon, one of the participants said it was a nice and fun activity and wished to join it again in the future. Almost 40 participants took part in this event. Regarding to this, it could be said that photography enthusiasts in Aceh are interested in this kind of event. nana

Photographing Models with FBI

It was more than a month since FBI arranged their first photo hunting. Inspired by their first one, they organized their second photo hunting which lasted on June 6. Model was the theme for this photo hunting taking place at Jl. A. Yani, Pangkalpinang. The location was picked since it has a unique architecture, the combination of the old and modern one. It was used as the background for the model photo session. Five models posed for 20 participants.

The models involved at this event were inexperienced models. It made the participants had to direct them. Of course, it was a challenge because not all of the participants have the experience in directing models. Other challenge was related to the lighting. Participants had to adjust the lighting as well.

The event was attended by non-FBI's members. During the session they also had a chance to discuss their shot with other participants. Beside bringing a new experience for participants, it also attracted some of them to join the community. From 30 members, it increases to almost 50 members after the hunting was held. nana
